Vow Renewal
I love being part of a vow renewal ceremony. What a wonderful way to celebrate your marriage and the vows you made to each other when you first got married. It is a way to celebrate a love that has matured between a couple.
A reaffirmation can take place at any time after your wedding day, whether it is at 5, 20, or 35+ years. This is a fantastic way to tell friends and family that they are still the one and that you would happily do it all over again. I say ‘why not, tell everyone I do, still’.

Why Should I Renew My Vows?
- Perhaps, you eloped when you were younger. Now that you’re older, you want to celebrate your union together.
- Perhaps your marriage has recently been through a rocky patch, or you’ve gone through a separation. You and your significant other have now reconciled your differences, and your relationship is even stronger than it was before. Why not celebrate your newly restored love?
- Any married couple can renew their vows any time they want, but having a reason for doing so can make the occasion feel more special. A vow renewal can also be a great way to commemorate a milestone wedding anniversary such as a 20, 30, or 50-year anniversary.
- Overcoming a major obstacle together is a perfect time to renew vows. Whether it’s a serious illness that you or your spouse has endured, or you’ve spent a significant amount of time apart, or even the birth of a new child.

Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony, or naming day, has historically celebrated the arrival of a new child. What a better way to say “welcome to the world little one”.
For many new parents nowadays, a christening or baptism is not what they want, but they still feel the need or desire to acknowledge in some way that they have created a new life. Such an amazing time! People have Baby Naming Ceremonies for different reasons. The reasons can vary depending on the couple and their circumstances. It could be:
A naming ceremony allows the parents to introduce their child, bestow the child’s name, choose godparents/sponsors/mentors, honour grandparents and their role in their child’s upbringing, make wishes and express hopes and dreams for their child.
The timing for naming ceremonies doesn’t restrict you to babies and toddlers; you can be named at any age. Perhaps you are about to unite step or adoptive children into your family or it could be an adult that has changed their name. Whatever the reason may be I can write a ceremony unique to you and your family to reflect this. Whatever your reason, allow me to write a ceremony unique to you and your family to reflect this. My fee for your personal Naming Ceremony is $475.00 incl gst. (Travel costs may incur if outside of the Tauranga/Papamoa area)

- Some families combine the Baby Naming Ceremony with a birthday anniversary, so all family members and friends can come together at the one time.
- A ceremony may have been conducted whilst they were away overseas and now wish to have another ceremony for friends and relatives that were not able to attend.
- You want to celebrate that your little person is now a part of his or her parents' family, their friends and the community.

Commitment Ceremony
A commitment ceremony can be as special as the couple making the commitment. Each participant makes promises, professing his or her love, and may exchange rings.
The commitment ceremony is meant to be an important, personally significant commemoration, but it is not legally binding. A key factor in these ceremonies may just be what they lack: the use of the words, “marriage," "husband" or "wife.”
Ultimately, the pair affirms each other and the promise to share their lives together.
Commitment ceremonies are gaining popularity for couples who may not be able to, or choose not to, pursue a traditional legal marriage for various reasons. Like a wedding, a commitment ceremony is a platform for a couple to publicly profess their love and commitment to each other for the long term. Whether it’s in private or before family and friends in a wedding atmosphere – without the legalities or paperwork. A commitment ceremony is typically performed by a celebrant and it includes the exchanging of vows and rings between the couple, and often readings, poems, and any desired rituals the couple wishes to include. Together we can create your perfect day! My fee for your special committment ceremony is $500.00 incl gst (travel costs my incur if outside of the Tauranga/Papamoa area)
